The Notorious B.I.G. aka Biggie Smalls, born on May 21, 1972 as Christopher George Latore Wallace, is undoubtedly famed as one of the greatest hip hop artists of all time. Regardless of which coast or even country you come from, respect is given where respect is due. The Brooklyn bred emcee was a true force in East Coast hip hop, increasing New York‘s entertainment and stock value in the genre when West Coast hip hop became more dominant in the mainstream.

After his unfortunate early passing on March 9, 1997, the double-disc set Life After Death was released 16 days later, rising to No. 1 on the U.S. album charts. Eventually becoming certified Diamond in sales (over 10 Million sold), Biggie‘s first post mortem project and second release ever became one of the few hip hop albums to receive this achievement. Ten years later, as we began in 2007, “it was all a dream” for the Bobby Fresh team.

Today, we’d like to introduce our Limited Edition ‘Dream BIG’ Tee, paying homage to a legend on his born day. With a top-down Black to White gradient with a couple greys and a speckled midsole sandwiched in between, the Air Jordan IV Retro “Stealth” is set to be a solid Fall or Holiday 2013 release.

Although the overall color palette and the black/white midsole are reminiscent of the pebbled leather 1999 Jordan IV “Oreos”, these shoes come into their own with what looks like a nubuck upper and a pop of White in the lining.

Saturday, May 25, 2013 is colloquially known as Nike / Jordan restock day, but we here at Bobby Fresh are calling it for what it is; J-POCALYPSE, SHOEMAGEDDON, J-UDGEMENT DAY. From time to time, Nike will restock a shoe here and there, but at the end of their fiscal year, they are dumping no less than a dozen hot recent releases at eight stores, all on one day.

Chaos will reign across the malls, as sneakerheads run from retailer to retailer, all the while placing phone and online orders from their smartphones. The resulting mayhem will cause the unthinkable; a network of smartphones, armed with the addresses and billing information for millions of hypebeasts will gain consciousness, and the machines will rise under the rule of SNEAKERNET.
